SELECTED BRANDS AT NEONYT | #PrePeek Editorial - Fall/Winter 2020

Cherie Birkner January 27, 2020

by Cherie Birkner

Special thanks to the PrePeek team at NEONYT

Concept: Thekla Wilkening
Photography: Maria Dominika
Styling: Vegan Stylist
Makeup: Sarah Hartgens

In the PrePeek area at NEONYT bloggers and influencers can find a selection of sustainable brands which exhibit at the fashion fair this gives you the chance to just focus on styling looks because you know the brands have already been taken under the loop for their ethical approach by the fair. That being said: there are some brands included which I recommend you to check in with on their sustainability criteria yourself before considering to buy, as these have been qualified by NEONYT, but I am not familiar with yet.

WINTER JACKET: Wolfskin TECH LAB - A brand I was very surprised to see represented at NEONYT! On the website you can find the claim: “the Tech Lab collection is 100% PFC free. We also work in partnership with Bluesign, Fair Wear Foundation + ZDHC to reduce our impact on the environment and to be considerate of the welfare, safety and social impact of our production processes.” It does NOT state that the products themselves ARE in fact certified, leaving us with open questions.

SUIT: Lanius - Fair and organic fashion. Since 1999.

DRESS: Sophie Schneider Esleben - Small fair fashion business, vegan, unisex, business casual styled

SHIRT: YOU&JJ - Fair Fashion business shirts that don’t leave an open gap between your breasts.

SHOES: Duuo - Vegan sneaker brand (ask about production/manufacturing standards before buying from this brand, as I do not yet personally know them, and was not able to find clear information on the website).

SCARF: Aeshaane - Organic handloom silk scarves.

BAG: noa complements - ask the brand about their sustainability codex before buying, I do not know the founders personally yet, and was not able to find clear information on their approach in English on the website or Instagram.
